Hosting, Email & Domains
These days many businesses rely on their website to bring in new sales, and a website relies on its hosting service to keep it running. So if your website isn't running you could be losing money. It’s as simple as that.
If you had a technical problem and your hosting service hasn’t backed up your data regularly, it could take a long time to get back online and you could also lose valuable information about your customers. Whichever way you look at it, reliability is key.
We’re pleased to offer our own hosting service. We don’t believe in making things complicated, so we’ll work out what you need and take the burden away from you. Nor do we upsell unnecessary services and packages, so you can rest assured you’re getting a fair deal.
Another advantage of using us is the level of support. Avoid faceless call centres and, instead, get someone you know on the end of the phone or email who can answer any of your questions and guide you any necessary steps in language you understand.
While we mainly provide hosting for the sites we build, we can offer it for other setups too, so just get in touch.
Budget hosting: the pitfalls
Because you might not realise how important hosting is, you might be tempted to make your choice based on price. There are lots of big hosting companies out there and their prices are very, very tempting – but you do get what you pay for.
Cheap hosting can be risky. If the hosting company lacks a back-up plan and a server goes down, your website will go down with it. Because many hosting companies pack thousands of websites onto one server, the loading times can be slow. And as this is something Google now penalises, so it could adversely affect SEO as well.
Finally, you’ll be sharing an IP address with hundreds of other sites. Cheap hosting providers are less is likely to monitor who is using their hosting, so there’s a danger that spammers could be sharing your IP address. If their site gets shut down or blacklisted, yours could – unfairly – get the same treatment.
